Wellesley Home Revival: A Symphony of Spaces Transformed

In the charming town of Wellesley, Sun Shore Construction had the privilege of orchestrating a home revival that touched the heart of two bathrooms and the kitchen, each space telling its own story of elegance and renewal.

First Chapter: The Walk-In Wonder

Our journey began with the transformation of a second-floor bathroom, where the vision for a sophisticated walk-in shower came to life. Following a meticulous demolition that preserved the integrity of the existing drywall, we laid the groundwork for what would become a centerpiece of modern luxury. The installation of a mud shower base, reinforced with waterproofing and cement boards, set the stage for the artful placement of tiles, creating an inviting walk-in shower. Optional enhancements like a sliding glass door, moisture protection, and a functional niche ensured the space was as practical as it was stylish.

Second Chapter: The Comprehensive Makeover

The narrative continued with a complete overhaul of the second bathroom, a project that encompassed everything from the bathtub to the fixtures, infusing the space with a renewed sense of sophistication. The installation of a new bathtub, framed by contemporary tiling and accented with modern fixtures, redefined the bathroom's luxury. Customizable options, including LED mirrors and an advanced toilet equipped with a GFCI outlet, allowed the homeowners to tailor the space to their preferences.

Final Chapter: Kitchen Refinement

The transformation story extended into the kitchen, where subtle yet significant repairs breathed new life into the culinary heart of the home. Expert drywall repairs and a fresh coat of paint revitalized the kitchen's walls, while new tiles under the range hood introduced a modern aesthetic. The replacement of the sink faucet not only added functionality but also a finishing touch of elegance, completing the home's revival.

Epilogue: A Home Reborn

Acton, MA Basement Makeover: Crafting Functional Elegance

In 2022, Sun Shore Construction undertook a remarkable project at Acton, MA, breathing new life into an unfinished basement. Our mission was clear: transform this underutilized space into a functional and stylish living area, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to enhancing homes and lives.

Laying the Groundwork

The transformation journey began with foundational framing work, correcting and completing the basement's bare structure to prepare for the extensive renovation ahead.

Illumination and Power

Electrical enhancements were next, with the installation of two separate wires connected to the electrical panel, ensuring safety and functionality. Recessed lighting and strategically placed power outlets were added, illuminating the space and providing essential utility.

Energy Efficiency and Comfort

To make the basement not just habitable but comfortable, insulation was installed, followed by drywall on the ceilings and walls, integrating seamlessly with the existing home infrastructure. Ceiling vents were added, extending the AC system into this new living space.

Aesthetic Touches

The transformation was brought to life with plastering, sanding, and painting, creating a polished look that reflected Sun Shore Construction's dedication to quality. Premium vinyl plank flooring was laid down, infusing the basement with warmth and modern style.

The Finishing Details

Attention to detail is a hallmark of our work. The installation of mouldings, doors, baseboards, and stair railing added sophistication and safety. The stair risers were painted white, new thresholds were placed, and a functional storage area was cleverly framed under the stair, maximizing the use of every square inch.

Conclusion: A Testament to Transformation

This Acton basement makeover is a testament to Sun Shore Construction's expertise in turning overlooked spaces into beautiful, functional areas. The project highlights our dedication to quality, functionality, and the transformation of living spaces to meet and exceed our clients' expectations.
