Innovative Master Bedroom to Bathroom Conversion in Winchester, MA

Sun Shore Construction recently undertook a remarkable project in Winchester, MA, that exemplifies our ability to creatively transform living spaces. The challenge was to convert two closets in a master bedroom into a full, luxurious bathroom. This ambitious project not only required ingenuity in design but also meticulous execution to ensure the new addition was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The Transformation Begins

The first step was to remove the wall separating the two closets, instantly creating a spacious area ripe for conversion. The undertaking was comprehensive, involving extensive plumbing and electrical work to lay the foundation for a modern bathroom setup. A 3” drain pipe and new water supply lines were seamlessly integrated from the basement upwards, while a water base heater relocation made space for the bathroom's new layout.

Maximizing Space with Smart Solutions

To optimize the available space, a pocket door was introduced, offering an elegant solution to the spatial constraints. A bathtub found its place within this newly formed room, promising comfort and relaxation for the homeowners.

Detailed Attention to Comfort and Style

The installation process was thorough, with GFCI power outlets and new wiring for lighting ensuring safety and convenience. An exhaust fan was added to maintain ventilation, while the strategic placement of lights fostered a welcoming ambiance. The commitment to detail extended to waterproofing and tiling the walls above the tub and the bathroom floor, selecting materials that echoed the homeowners' vision for a serene retreat.

Final Touches of Elegance

The installation of a sleek vanity, modern toilet, and stylish sink further elevated the room, complemented by a new mirror, light fixtures, and cohesive bathroom hardware sets. Optional enhancements like moisture protection, an advanced toilet system, and a recessed light above the shower personalized the space to the homeowners' preferences.

A New Chapter in Home Renovation

The completion of this project marked the addition of a modern, fully functional bathroom that blends seamlessly with the master bedroom's aesthetic. This conversion not only enhanced the utility of the space but also its value, transforming an ordinary bedroom into a suite with a private bathroom retreat.

Through innovative design and precise execution, Sun Shore Construction continues to redefine home living spaces, turning visions into realities.

In Dorchester, MA, a dated bathroom has been reimagined by Sun Shore Construction, showcasing our commitment to merging functionality with modern design. This project highlights the transformative power of custom solutions in creating spaces that not only meet the homeowner's needs but also exceed their aesthetic desires.

Creating Space for Modern Luxury

The renovation journey began with the strategic removal of the old radiator, paving the way for the centerpiece of this transformation: a custom-sized walk-in shower. This new addition is not just a shower; it's a statement of luxury and convenience, tailored to fit the space perfectly.

Attention to Detail

With the outdated bathtub making way for the spacious walk-in shower, the room instantly gained a more open, inviting feel. The shower was meticulously tiled from floor to ceiling, featuring a built-in niche for added functionality. The installation of a sliding glass door offered the final touch of elegance, seamlessly blending style with practicality.

Sleek and Functional Additions

The transformation extended beyond the shower, with the old vanity replaced by a modern floating vanity, enhancing the bathroom's contemporary vibe. A new, efficient toilet was installed, and the entire space was refreshed with new drywall, paint, and baseboards. The addition of a new tile floor laid the foundation for the bathroom's updated look.

Illuminating Changes

The renovation also focused on improving the bathroom's ambiance and functionality through lighting and ventilation. The installation of an exhaust fan, recessed lighting, and strategically placed lights above the medicine cabinet and mirror brought the space to life, offering both brightness and warmth.
